Pierre-Auguste Renoir (Flowers in a vase)

Pierre-Auguste Renoir was a French impressionist painter, active in the late 19th century. He was born in Limoges, France in 1841 and later moved to Paris to study art. Renoir is best known for his luminous, colorful paintings that capture the light and movement of modern life. He was a prolific artist who painted portraits, landscapes, and scenes from everyday life. Some of his famous works include "Luncheon of the Boating Party" and "Bal du moulin de la Galette". Renoir suffered from rheumatoid arthritis later in life, but continued to paint until his death in 1919. He is considered one of the greatest painters of the impressionist movement.
