Still life with a bouquet of daisies 1884 - van Goch...

Vincent van Gogh was a Dutch post-impressionist painter who is widely considered to be one of the most influential figures in the history of Western art. Born in the Netherlands in 1853, van Gogh initially pursued a career as an art dealer before deciding to become an artist himself. Despite struggling to gain recognition during his lifetime, van Gogh produced over 2,000 works of art, including more than 800 oil paintings.

Van Gogh's style was characterized by bold colors and dramatic, expressive brushstrokes. He often painted scenes from nature, such as landscapes, flowers, and animals, and was deeply influenced by Japanese art and culture. During his lifetime, van Gogh suffered from mental illness and poverty, and tragically died by suicide in 1890 at the age of 37.

Despite his short and troubled life, van Gogh's legacy has endured, and his works continue to captivate audiences around the world. Some of his most famous paintings include "Starry Night," "Sunflowers," and "The Potato Eaters." Today, van Gogh is widely regarded as one of the greatest artists of all time, and his paintings are highly sought after by collectors and art enthusiasts.
